Saw an ad today on denver craigslist for a $900 944. I just talked myself out of having another project, so am passing on the word.
Here is what I learned in my phone call:
1988 944NA
Guards/Beige
5 speed
~120k miles
Not driven/run for 3 years, ran good when parked. Electrical demons in windows and other areas. Evidence of body filler and repaint on front end.
Somebody should pick this up before I end up buying it with nowhere to put it.

Decision:
sink thousands of dollars that you will never see back into a 900 944
Or
sink thousands of dollars that you will never see back into a 9000 944
I chose the latter. which is the right decision?

Why? You'd easily spend the same thousands on either. May as well be a cheaper car. Although, if my suspicions are correct, there could be a hidden money hole on a 944 (or any car that cheap). Probably located in the engine bay.
