Default Where is the starter 87 944 n/a

Ok I just got It back from having my engine installed. Picked it up yesterday ran just fine last nite. Got up this morning started it it ran about 10 seconds then died as the idol has not been set. So I went to start it back and it sounds as if the starter is jammed or something. When I try and turn it over it makes one click and thats it. I just put a brand new battery in last night and have checked the cables all is well ,so I'm thinking it is the starter. As the click sound is on the rear backside of the engine standing infront of the car. Maybe starter jammed ????? 87 944 n/a 5 ............................................IT's fixed the starter was jammed !!!!!!!

Starter's down underneath the car right behind the bellhousing. About right in the middle...it's pretty obvious once you're under the car.

Stupid question - is it an automatic? Friend was having similar symptoms (click, no start), turns out the car needed to be in Park.

If the starter continues to give you trouble, try getting rebuilt instead of buying a new one. It will be cheaper, and there are shops everywhere that specialize in rebuilding alternators and starters.

Or just carry a hammer with you and smack it when it jams again .
