Coilover spring length with paragon ARHK?
I did a search and could not find a concrete answer to my question. I wanted to know what size (length) springs do you guys run on the fronts using the paragon ARHK/ground control kit? 8" or 10"
TIA

This is something I found in a thread from one of the guys are Paragon a while back.
Not saying this is gospel, but does show that there is generally a relationship between spring rate and length. Hope that helps. My 200# springs are 12" with the Paragon ARHK.
A GENERAL rule of thumb in spring lengths is:
200# 12"
250-300# 10"
350# and above, 8"
200# 12"
250-300# 10"
350# and above, 8"

How low do you want the car? If you want it as low as mine in my Avatar, you'll need 8" springs. I originally bought 10" springs, but had to exchange them for 8" when I couldn't get the spring perch low enough to get the ride height I wanted.
My spring perch is now right around the middle of the threaded collar.

I have just dealt with this issue. I installed the ARHK with 400# springs. Paragon originally sent me 8" springs but the perches would have had to be at the top of the collar for me to be at a normal ride height, maybe around 25" from the ground to top of the wheel arch. That is about 5.25" from the bottom of the caster mounts to the ground IIRC.
So, I exchanged them for the 10" springs and now my perch sits in the middle of its adjustment range. I could go at least an inch lower if I wanted to. The big question here is what type of camber plates / strut mounts are you going to be using? I am using the KLA solid mounts. If I would have had the older type ground control / paragon camber plates the 8" spring might have worked fine since they make the upper perch sit 3/4"-1" lower than my current configuration with the KLA's...

For the archives.
I can say that 8" springs with the lower mount GC camber plates and hats do not work. Same problem - perches are fully raised and the car fender is at 25"
I'm going to be getting the 10" springs as well.
