Default S Exhaust Camshaft swap for S2

Here are the facts regarding S exhaust cams vs. S2 exhaust cams:

944S Exhaust Cam
Duration: 212 deg.
Lift: .395" (measured)
Lobe Center: 110 deg BTDC

944 S2 Exhaust Cam
Duration: 212 deg.
Lift: .385" (measured)
Lobe Center: 113 deg. BTDC

Conclusions: Is the S exhaust cam significantly different from the S2 cam? Yes. It has more lift, it has more retarded exhaust timing, and therefore more overlap. The S2 engine likes it. Jet951 has proven it on the dyno, my own experience has been similar, and the Firehawk guys experienced a significant increase.

All of this said, the WebCam offerings will provide even more power, but ECU tuning will be necessary.
