Hey guys,
Getting my 944 back on the road is really coming along. But, one thing that really is more of a huge annoyance than anything else is my windshield wiper system.
For whatever reason, my windshield wipers keep stopping in the middle of the windshield. It's like the motor (computer?) thinks that the stopping point is right in the center of the windshield. Everything seems to work fine, like the time delay, (intermittent) and the fast / slow control... but when I shut them off, they stop in the middle of the windshield.
Has anyone had this problem and was able to resolve it?
Also, does anyone here know where I can get replacement windshield washer hose? (the clear hose?)
Thanks!!!

There is a set of contacts in the wiper motor that controls the stop location. When you turn the wipers off, a set of contacts shorts the motor when it reaches the stop position causing the motor to brake. If the contact is not working, it will coast past the stopping point and wind up in the middle of the windshield.

Need follow up on this old question. I have the same issue. Replaced an old busted wiper motor with an old working wiper motor. The wipers are fine on the "outswing", but when they finish, they go down to the bottom, and then come back up about 3 inches and park. I need to know where these contacts are and how to move them. I searched for 944 wiper indexing, as I thought I'd seen something like this, but couldn't find it.
