Great News for 944-spec ! Toyo R888
Great News for 944-spec ! Toyo has accelerated the phase out of the RA1 and has requested NASA swap it's race classes over to the new and improved R888 !
2 Things to think about
# 1 there are over 800 R888 (225/50/15) tires in the US at this time . But the RA1 is in short supply. So we need to allow the R888 now.
# 2 What if you have numerous old RA1's . (2 sets of RA1's could last more than a full year) DON'T FRET . The National rules will reflect our Sponsors request to change tires ASAP . BUT If you have old RA1's talk to your local series director and they will be able to set a phase out date that works for everyone ! No one will be stuck with tires they can not use.
