My GFs have no idea about any of my motorsports stuff, and I prefer it that way.

In any event, very cool move by your GF for sure.

I've got the same model. Minichamps also has the 924, 944S2 Convertible, 968 Cab, 968 Convertible... and many other models. They are very nice.

One of the few who knows how to make a "944 enthusiast gift." Nice to see you around again, Nick!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

To be honest, I wrapped it in saran wrap and I still have it on display. My girlfriend thinks I'm a little nutty for displaying it even though it's wrapped in plastic, but it's the #1 model of the set!

I have a 1:24 scale 944 cab with the word TURBO written on it. Never seen a 951 cab. still kinda cool. I also have a 911 targa and a 356 speedster from The Franklin Mint that are real nice.

They had turbo cabs in Europe, but they never came to the U.S.

My wife gets me a 1/18th scale of every car that we buy, even if we end up selling it. We've been married for 3 years, but this year she found me a 1/18th scale of my 2002 Ford Crown Victoria LX. She found it in the exact same color (Silver Frost). She got me a 1/18th scale of my Pontiac Solstice, the 2004 Volkswagen Beetle (hers), and my 1987 Pontiac Fiero SE / V6. They were all in the same color except the Fiero. They only have black or red, mine is burgundy.

Maybe for Christmas I'll get a black 1/18th 944???

It's the only car out of the ones I have that she actually likes (except of course the VW Bus).
