Just a little exaggeration for humor. While the 944 (at least by today's standards) leaves something to be desired in the lower revs, it definitely isn't disappointing... IMHO.

i am in the market for my first play car... preferred a 944s2, but a 1992 968 caught my eye.. i am completely unfamiliar with these.
what is a fair price to pay ? 110K miles, recently serviced, never tracked, never autocrossed (which i will do..) new belts, brakes, engine mounts... owner only had it one year, serviced by shop close to me.

who can educate me on these, or should i stick w/ what i am familiar with.
thanks.
should have checked out my S2 before i shipped it to CO. I would have knocked the shipping cost off what i had into it and you would have had a 70 mile S2.

A clean S2 is about 8-10k.

Be careful with a convertible. talk with one of the track guys about taking a convert to the track. you need a roll bar or a hardtop which isnt available for the 968. and the rollbar has to be high enough to pass the broomstick test not just for you but for your instructor as well.

hey PorscheChik welcome to Rennlist. As you can see this is a motley crew.

Anyhow you should buy a 968 for sure, they're the best looking so you can pick up chicks better.
