I Can't Catch A Break
Well its been cold in Massacussetts these last few days. My 84' 944 just keeps giving me more problems. I still have no heat, my interior lights dont work (see other thread about fuse blowing), and the other night, disaster striked.
I was driving down a very familiar road, in about 5 degree weather. Doing about 35mph (not fast for this road at all - 35mph is the speedlimit), going over a downhill sweeping left turn. The roads looked dry, but it had been above freezing earlier that day, allowing ice to form. Now I didnt see any ice as I was moving along, until I came to the downhill section. BLACK ICE all over, from where it looked to water from melted snow was flowing down the hill. The back end of my car went out and I spun like a top into a snowbank. My passanger side side skirt took all the damage, denting the entire skirt inward. No damage otherwise, and the frame and all other steering components are fine. My question is however, you cant remove the side skirt can you?
I do however find myself very lucky, because about 2-3 feet behind that snowbank was a telephone pole
Ill add some pictures tomorrow.

Ya i have seen the aftermarket ones, but as usual, I am broke. I got some "parts cars" at the junkyard, and was seeing if its even possible to remove them.

There was someone on here who cut theirs off inside teh door and across, and did the same to a parts car at a junkyard and wleded the new one in... If you're daring you can do that, or pay someone to?
