Default OEM 7x17, 9x17 996 wheels on 924S?

would these work on my 924S

also, i keep hearing about late and early offset. for the record, what am i dealing with..

OEM Porsche 996 wheels, as installed on cars from 1999 to 2001. Fronts are 7x17, ET55, p/n 996.362.124.00 Rears are 9x17, ET55, p/n 996.362.128.00 These will fit most late-model 911s ('90-on), 944s ('87-on), 968s, and possibly Boxters as well.

thanks

Although I am unsure of the differences since your offset may be different then his.

I''d say try to go with something around 16x7, however you can go larger if needed.

The 924S came with ABS offset 6 inch wheels. The offset is 52.3mm. This is because of the narrow bodywork.
I think that 17's would look pretty pimpish.....
Not to mention most likely double the cost of your rubber?
You can put a 7 inch late offset wheel under the fender of a 924S if you switch to smaller diameter front springs. I used to race a 924S in the 944 spec class with late offset 944 phonies and a 15mm spacer, but the only reason the spacer fit was because I was running 3 degrees of negative camber. So the tire just barely cleared the fender lip during suspension travel.
