Default FS 1987 944S

Well, as hard as it is, I think I'm going to part with my 944 S. I don't want to, but on the other hand, I have to be practical, and since my wife recently totaled her Jetta, I really would like to have a nice down payment for a new VW. Enough about that, here is the info.

* 123,000 miles
* New clutch and water pump at 89,000 miles
* New timing belt ect... as of last spring
* Runs great, I've never had a problem
* The interior is in exceptionally good condition for it's age
* I had a friend paint the front end, I'm not thrilled with it, but it's worlds better than it was when I bought it. Just being as honest as possible.
*I have the original paper work from germany with sales receipts and everything. This S was VERY well documented through the years.

I'm asking $5000. I'm offering it here before it goes on Autotrader. If you have any questions let me know.

Nice looking car, fair price. GL.

OT- my dad had an 850 Spyder when he was about my age, remembers it fondly.

Looks right - best of luck.

To me it might look better if it wasn't seen next to the 996 (looks a bit older than it should that way...).

Here are a few more pics. If the weather gets a bit better I'll get more.

Too bad I am trying to sell all my cars before leaving for Iraq. This would be a nice one.

Thanks. I'll try to get even more pics of it this weekend to post. So the price sounds fair enough is the general thought. I was hoping to have it sold before next weekend.

are the 944 spoilers bigger than the 924/924S spoilers?

Why not try Ebay?
I tried to sell my S locally and was killed with lowballers. I sold mine $4500 and it wasn't near as nice as your car.

I just now put it up on Autotrader. I thought I'd be able to sell it here for someone looking for a fun weekend car. We'll see how it goes. I wouldn't be upset getting $4500.

At $4500 the car won't last long.
