Default 944 Fixup - What Did You Get YOUR Sweetie for X-Mas

Hey All;

Oh yeh... of course there are the usual gifts, but what do you get a girl who loves Porsches and has a "new one" of her own?

Take this link to see what we did for our Christmas Holiday.

Nice work! I bet she could fix more than 75% of the listers here.

Does it handle any different now? I would be worried about warping the control arms with the seam weld.

wow! great job! One thing maybe you didn't show it but I would have replaced the ball joints since you had the control arms out anyway.
Other than that great job! I wish I had a lift and could weld stuff....

Good job & what a nice compact lift. Where did you get it from?

Very nice John! My wife got me my first welder for Christmas this year and gave it to me last week so that her son could give me pointers while he was visiting for Christmas. Of course, she wanted to learn as well and was in the garage welding quite a bit.

Ah...

So you'll be welding your OWN seat reinforcements. Or... are you still at the "hanging grapes" stage of welding prowess?

Ha;

For what it takes to make one, you can buy the factory part. But like I said, what fun would that be?

Mine got a new clutch. Last one broke. Worst part is that I broke 4 corners from the end of my last race and I had 2nd place all locked up.

Mine got a new clutch too. The original rubber center broke apart.
