Wonder which way that thing was headed BEFORE it ended up in the ditch.

See anything on the car you could easily swap without looking too obvious?

I drove my 951 to Montana last Christmas with brand new Yokohamas, hit a light dusting of snow, and nearly died!

I mounted a new set of Nokian WR's on it for the trip home, and threw all 4 Yoko's in the hatch. I drove through a blizzard from Helena, Montana to Las Vegas, where it turned into freezing rain. Once they reopened the highway in Salt Lake City, Utah (after a fatal) there was sixteen inches of fresh snow for the next 400 miles. It took me all night, but I averaged 40-45 mph...and was nearly the only vehicle still moving...sans a few tractor-trailers. I only stopped for gas, and to clear the ice from the headlights and front end.

There were cars, trucks and suv's in the ditches, catching rides with the highway patrol. If I didn't have to start a new job the following day, there's not a chance in hell I would have ever kept going.

These are truly the most fantastic rain and snow tires I have ever had! They are super sticky in the dry as well, but wear too fast for what they cost to replace. I have never felt more secure in a vehicle, in bad weather.

I want to drive my 951 in the show! It hardly ever even sees the rain. I'm thinking of getting a quattro audi and if I do, I'll be taking a trip to the snow ASAP.

Looks like that 911 isn't really damaged.

I just put some snow tires on the rear of my car. Holy $hit what a difference. Had I known this before I woulda swapped into snow tires along time ago. I land some $60 Blizzacks from a fellow lister and these tires kick ***. So far I havent gotten stuck yet. The smile on my face while crusing in 6" of snow is priceless.

Did you at least go look in the window of the car? What if the driver was injured, or was otherwise immobilized / unconscious / dead?

The first time I drove by in the Jeep I slowed way down and could clearly see in the window... no one was in the car. Then I got the camera out and turned around. and went by again.

Are those early offset? Surprisingly, phone dials look pretty good on a 968. LSD?

had to post my winter (dirty) pics too

I wish I'd have winter tires but for the price of 4 new winter tires I can get a nice old jeep cherokee diesel that will do it's winter job better than porsche w/winter tires.. I guess.

Wow...that is right down the road of where my in-laws live. They are off Rand Road. I've been down that way and Rand Road has a great set of curves up by that castle like house.
