Default can't identify noise behind interior temp sensor and replacing motor mounts.

After a minor wreck I am noticing a noise behind the interior temp sensor next to cigarette lighter on my 85.5 944. If I pull out on the dash it goes away. I'm not aware of any blower motors/cages behind that area, and can't figure out what the noise might be. It sounds like a squirrel cage rubbing on something or a very high pitched buzzing. Anyone experience this before? Any suggestions appreciated. Also, my dad and I are going to attempt motor mounts. We have all the Clarks garage info, and other posts have been read on here. We've done rack and pinion, half shafts, removed spoiler, bumper etc )because of the fender bender) and replaced them.. How long should we expect it to take to replace mounts. We will be jacking motor with supports under oil pan.

There's a tube that leads from that temp sensor opening in the dash to the actual temp sensor further back. That also has a fan as part of the assembly. I'm not sure if that's your noise, but it can collect a lot of dust over the years and it's worth checking out.

Working by myself it took me about 2.5 hours to replace one motor mount.
