Default New 944 Shift Boot!

I just put on my new shift boot from ALGA on my 924S. It's freaking sweet!!!

I think I may of missed something though. Here's what I did.

1.) Took off the old ****, and shift boot. This is a 924S, so the old one, was different than my new one.

2.) Removed the rubber boot.

3.) I removed some pin, and took off this metal piece, becuase the new one wouildn't fit with it on. I also removed some rubber piece on top of the metal piece.

4.) Then I fitted my new boot around the plastic piece, and fitted the **** in.

Sound about right? Sorry if it's confusing, lol.

I didn't re-install the rubber boot, because when I did, it looked ****y, ha. Do I need to put the rubber boot back on? Thanks.

I would put the rubber boot back on underneath... the heat from the engine comes right up that part of the body and will wear out that nice new boot in a short time, esp if you ever have an exhaust leak at the cat!

Plus you'll notice less noise with the rubber boot installed.

Is your stock insulation in that hole still there? if so you may not have as much of an issue.
