whooow! thanks a lot n that one! yes then i think i might just have to look for a turbo 944. now the price is whats going to be my enemy, not only that it is a turbo car, it's a porsche. porsche+ turbo = BIG $$$$! now, since im selling the 944 NA to get a 944 turbo, i might have to sell my 86' mitsubishi starion tsi-r. this car is in pretty much good condition except for the paint. i love it! its a 2.6 L 4 turbo intercooled. now should i or should i not let go of this starion just so i could get a turbo 944... hmmm.... since you guy's know more about the 944 on over all reliability and parts availability. how much would you guy's recomend a turbo 944 for a soon to be working college student having a 944 turbo for it's daily driver?

My 1987 944 speedometer's mph needle started getting stuck at a certain mph.
I thought cleaning and blowing air into the speedometer interior would work, but NO it didnt.
So I took it apart again, and noticed the "bearing adjustment" for the mph needle - located right under the removed needle after removing the needle and faceplate. It's a plastic or nylon adjustment nut thingy. It was loose, so I just tightened it a bit. And volia...MPH was again accurate!
Also...to simply remove the needle - just turn it clockwise until it hits it's stop, and twist and pull gently. It comes right off.

Drifting
Recently, while removing the transmission, the top of the speedo sensor popped off. Despite cleaning & reassembling properly, it no longer works.
On removal, I didn’t notice any grease on the part it fits on. The other end is in the transmission, no? Which would be filled with trans fluid?
Should I put grease on the fitting? Jam it in so it goes down into the trans along the shaft?
