boxster seats into 951
FYI:
I recently installed two way 2003 boxster seats in my 86 951. The bolsters are not as large and that makes it much easier getting in and out. Also they are firmer. I had to cut the electrical power connectors and replace them because they didn't match. These seats have electric tilting backs and mechanical slides. I also removed the charged air cylinder that is used to raise and lower the seat height which allowed them to sit lower. I had to drill new holes and elongate others in the rails to get a match with the threaded holes in the floor. I had to change the seat belt receiver with my originals because they would not mate and that required making the bolt through hole larger.
This project was a time consuming pita but the seats are a great match for a 944/951.
