Default going carrera GT

so...due to some recent parking lot mishaps, of which i was not in the car. my 924S has acquired some craters in its sheet metal. to get it fixed properly would be really expensive, not good for me...so i did some thinking....i found a Carrera GT bodykit, minus the scoop and 931 nose panel, and i will be putting that on. it will make the car much better looking. then i will be painting the car with the "$50 paint job" which seems to have great results.

now my thoughts turn to wheels...when the fenders and flares go on, i will have a big gap to fill. shoiuld i fill them with spacers? or change the offset of the wheels...or update the suspension arm...im not sure.

on thing is that i have a set of race wheels that i want to keep using, so i think that spacers might be the way to go, to avoid having to buy 2 sets of wheels.

but...one step at a time...have to get the panels first...pictures will come with the build

Not a big fan of spacers/adapers. Especially if you are racing.

You would be better off selling the late-offset wheels and getting something in early offset like Fuchs. They would look period-correct with the CGT body kit anyway.

I agree with tifo, get some fuchs. If you need 2 sets of wheels you could always get a set of cookie cutters or phone dials cheap.

btw, where did you get your carrera gt front bumper? I've been looking for one for the NA but the AIR one isn't an exact replica and doesn't look right, imo. I haven't heard from GT racing if theirs is a better replica. I can't find any pictures of the one from GT racing. They show two different styles in the catalog.

Hey Doc
Did you buy your inglass headlights, or make the boxes/ clear cover yourself? Im in the process of doing this right now. Unfortunately I cant find the link for the DIY on the headlamps. If you did buy them how much did it cost ya?

The headlights were extensively modified GM parts.
