Question DIY: Rollers

Has anyone ever tried to press out the bearings in any of the belt rollers for the TB and BB then press in new ones of the same spec? I was just wondering today if it might work. Im going to be doing all of them in a major tune up this week coming up. Ill order all my new parts for the job but ill also try and rebuild the rollers and let you guys in on how it goes.

Anyone have any stories of DIY' rebuilds of other parts etc?

I'm thinking that "cost vs benefit" will come into play here. It can't be that less expensive to rebuild them, can it?

exactly. Though it would be useful in about 30 years when they stop making the parts.

Might be worth it, basic bearings are pretty cheap.
