Default Wire connector removal tool.

I was wondering if there is a tool that could be used to remove wire connectors from plugs.
I was working on my radio the other day and I just could NOT get the wire out.

The connector is one of those with 2 sets of clamping teeth and what holds it in is one clip that locks in.
The radio uses the exact same type of connector as the DME plug, which is what I am trying to find a tool used to remove.

I have a lot of tools used to remove wires from computer power supply connectors but none of them are the same as the radio and DME connectors.

Could anyone even tell me what the technical name of these connectors are? It might help me in finding a removal tool.

Thanks all

Do a search for pin removal tool. Josh B had a post about it and even gave a supplier and part number.

what you need is the correect tool, the factory porsche tools are made by Stahlwille under the name Kabelex. they are big$$, i have the set, very handy. however there is a really nice alternative sold by ZDMAK...i have it too and it is definetly a great tool
here is the link to ebay store, i highly reccomend this tool as it does both late maodel round pins and the flat terminals too

The kit i have at work is like 40 different pin extractors in the same solid wood box. I swear Porsche spends more on there special tools... Put it this way, Porsche force ships special tools to all dealers, they actually charge $1000 for two blocks of wood for putting the CGT on a lift.

Thats the four pin thing in a PC, I have one of those tools. I don't think there are too many molex connectors in our cars, I think I have seen a couple though.

And thanks nickg I'll check out ZDMAK!
