I would be all over that if they complemented my red car...

Quite a deal.

It's a mild purdying and really needs to be washed (water restrictions just kicked in, tho). I had wanted to get the entire cam tower black but decided that I liked this simpler approach a bit better. Plus, it was easy enough to do on the car.

I painted the lettering and all of the black plastic tray stuff at the base of the windshield, the fuel rail and replaced the coolant reservior and j-boot. I also took a wire brush to all of the engine stuff to get it looking silver instead of that goldish color it liked to turn. But like I said, I still need to wash it... and polish parts of the engine and stressbar, too.

Edit: didn't see that you already bought stuff in that smokin' deal! Oh well, I'm gonna show off anyway.

BB.

I went for the simple, hide the dirt and grease look..

Whenever i happen to pop the hood and people look at the engine, they always have the same general reaction

"DAMN THATS A HUGE ENGINE, HOW MUCH POWER DOES IT MAKE?? "

"147hp...on a good day "

""

""

....some hours later i am then on the internet searching for a 3.0L 968 engine..

...one of these days ill just pull the trigger and buy one.. . Then i will own a 951 and a 3.0L 944.. .

Further down the road i will be completley out of money and have to sell everything off..

These pictures just make me want to paint my engine. I have to get it clean first though.

Techno Duck, that coolant reservoir is sweet.

Jeff, you got the hook up on those. You know damn well we want to see after pictures! Plus you'll get to redo cam tower gaskets just for the hell of it. That's gonna look so awesome. Now you need to get a red vacuum line kit from Lindsey and do those while you have everything off. It will look real nice.
