Anyone looking for a shop to work on the Porsche, Karl is the finest mechanic I have come across in 40 years of racing. He is located in South Carolina. His shop is European Road and Racing. http://www.europeanroadandracing.com/
A native born Austrian, Karl in 1982 was asked to crew for Brun Motorosports. Karl prepared the Porsche 962 for Brun for IMSA and the World Endurance Championships, and won the World Championships in 1986. And if your old enough to remember, that was the ultimate in road racing and one of the great highlights for Porsche in road racing. Not often do you get to meet and race with someone who went over the wall at places like Fuji, Nürburgring, Silverstone,Spa-Francorchamps, etc., taking Porsche to a World Championship. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1986_Wo...ionship_season

We're very proud to have him in the 944 Cup series.
If we can get the 944Fest and 944 Cup to co-host 2008, might be able to get Karl to appear and go over some of those historic times.

Also of interest is Joe Hrymack's Championship winning 944 is an original Rothman's car. The car competed in 1986 and 1987 in the Rorthman's Porsche Challenege Series in Canada which included such drivers as Scott Goodyear and Paul Tracy. Joe has the car prepared in its original Rothman's livery and is in such fine shape that it could win a Concours event.
