Default Dallas Mechanic

First off, let me say that I am new to the forum. After browsing for a while and looking around I decided I would ask a question of my own.

I have a 1992 968 cab that needs some suspension work done. I had NTB put new tires on the car this weekend and they told me they could not align it b/c I need new inner tie rods adn lower control arm bushings on the right front. They let me take the car home with new tires, but obviously this needs to be resolved.

Does anyone have any good mechanic recommendations in Dallas? I have been to Park Place a few times and might give them a call, but thus far I have been underwhelmed by them. I am inside 635 so anything is the central part of town would be ideal. Thanks.

Mayo Performance is good, May be a little ways from you. They are north of Arlington. Also Zims is in the area. Type Zims into google and it should be the first thing that pops up.

The car has actually been serviced at Zims before by the previous owner. When I had a 944 10 years ago we used to take it to a Zims out on the west side of Fort Worth I believe. I think that location has since closed though. Regardless, the Bedford location is closer too me, though still a bit out of the way...I may give them a call. Thanks for the suggestion.

I used Overseas Service Haus to get an oil change several months ago b/c they are close to my office. They seemed to do that fine. Anyone have any experience with them? I think they have multiple locations around town.

Give Don Istook at call, at 817-332-6547. Istooks is THE place to take your car for general service (imho), and Don will be able to tell you where to go to get your car aligned.
