I'm not trying to say the S2 is better than the 968, but rather they are more available. I would prefer a Variocam engine though.

968 all the way, even with the corral of P-cars, my wife loves the 968 and it is in the garage for us to use, instead of at the warehouse...

I own neither S2 or 968, but the styling of the 968 along with the variocam make it the winner for me. The back end of the 968 is beautiful. You don't have to think to yourself, "Oh there is a 30 year old Volvo... what the hell? I have the same taillights!" Kills me every time.

the rear end styling is certainly a huge difference.

Just getting rid of the compression bumper does wonders to update the rear end of the car. Amazing how something as simple as that little change can update the car by a decade or two.

There's a Lexus or an Acura out there that has a similar rear-end as a 968. I often get myself all worked up, because I would mistake it for a 968!

Hahhah, me too, that's why I went for the white-light conversion route on my S2, but I totally agree, the rear of 968 wins 94x hands down.

My dad just bought a 968 cab. It was either a 968 cab, Boxster, or 350Z. I'm glad we went with the 968. Tons more character. Besides being an outstanding sports car of course.

968 hands down. Far too many boxsters around. Great car but not nearly the character or personality of a 968. Read what EVO says about the 968 in their back pages and you'll undertand why it should be 968. Good luck and keep us posted.

There was a really good article on this exact subject in a copy of Porsche 911 (I think thats what its called) a couple months back. The writer choose the Boxster and gave his reasons. It was interesting. I might be able to scan it and post it here later. I think the comparison was between a late 80s 911, 968 and Boxster.
