Power to Manual Steering- is this the magical part?

Yeah, I converted mine from a non-powered power steering to manual and there's a difference all right. First, I don't have to fill it each month, which is nice. Second, the steering is about the same as when the power steering worked, the only difference being when you get on the brakes hard and try to turn at the same time. Between the non-working system and the manual system, I'd go manual any day.
I got my system new (I believe from paragon) since it came with brand new joints and intermediate shaft and all (yeah, that stuff does wear out).

Does anyone know if the 924 used the same rack/ shaft as the early 944 ?
I have brand new late offset tie rods, boots and rack mounts. I just need the manual rack and steering shaft. . .

Rack is definetly different. Not certain about the intermediate shaft but based upon the mounting style of the rack I'd say the length is different. Can't be certain about that though, I've only had the two racks sided by side to compare, never had the 924 shaft because once I figured out it wasn't going to work I didn't try to locate a shaft.
