Good catch, the only problem was that not only was it a 944, but a Turbo, and this episode (and the real life events described) took place in 1981! Oh well, can't blame them for wanting to use such a classic 80's sports car!

My cousin works production on that show (haven't seen it myself). She always asks me for input on "cool" cars they can use.

As for film sightings, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the 944 from the movie, "Backdraft" that features a guy getting thrown through the windshield
