Default Anyone heard of this repair shop in Maryland?

Tri Tech Auto
2455 hudson street,
Annapolis, MD

My car is in messy shape, and i need a good place the engine back together. These guys are about 20 minutes from me so they are preferable. If not, I'll probably take it to auto sportsystems group up in fairfax, va. Theve done good work for me before, and they're all certified and honest from what I can tell.

Thanks for any assistance

Hi, I go to a Tiff's foreign cars on Gibralter Ave, just off of West St. A guy named Ben who works there has done some things for me in the past, and i have been very satisfied. They are very honest, and do not try to do unnecessary work or gouge you on parts costs. Labor charges are about $65 an hour, about standard for a porsche mechanic. The phone number is (410) 268-8288 if you want to talk to them. I would assume you'd rather go somewhere local than all the way to fairfax.

$65 an hour? Are you serious? Thats standard? The shops out here in NoVA charge $110-$120 per hour. Maybe I need to start driving to Annapolis when I cant DIY.

I think, in order to be on the safe side, im going to take it to fairfax. it will cost more, but it'll be better than getting a shotty job or throwing caution to the wind. I've never really had allot of luck with my car and unfortunately I dont have time to do more research on local companies. I'll let you guys know who it turns out. also, Thanks for all replies

Later,
-stellar

Another shop on west street is like 63 an hour, but they sometimes do more than they should, and exaggerate problems

There is an old thread on this. Look for Annapolis shops in the thread title. I used to live there but have been gone for some time. I had recommended Tifs, but was informed by some locals that they had gone down hill since I left. IIRC, tri tech was highly recommended.

Dont come to Naples 120.00 per hour and no extensive knowledge of current aftermarket parts or modifications, think the knowledge ends with routine maintenance, ask about large turbo kits, internals, etc you are looked at like an alien.

well between Tif's and Tri-Tech Im getting allot of conflicting information. I've heard both, they're awsome, and dont go there if it's the last thing you do for both shops. I'll probably have to pay the shop a visit and see if I like them or not.

Take the time to head out to Purcellville, VA.
Go see Tom at Redline. He knows the 944/951
platform very, very well. Buy with confidence!
