Default Im not all talk...[Update] 9/18

Just thought i would share my progress with ya'll. I have two things left to do, get the driver side front carpet peice out, and get the pass. side a-pillar out.

Then i'll clean it up as best i can, not sure if i want to put all the new stuff in right now, im thinking of leaving some of it out and have some black vinyl cut to match the brown headliner that goes around the qtr panels and headliner.

were your old door and rear panels warped at all?
I kinda want different panels since mine took a lil random water damage and warped.

No the other panels are still in pretty good shape. I went out and bought some PLastikote fabric and vinyl paint for the seats, and if would have known how well it worked i wouldnt have even bought the black panels. All the vinyl is in really good shape except the dash. I plan to dye the lower part of the dash instead of buying other panels.

Heres the before and after, the vinyl paint is realy awesome and very forgiving, the fabric paint doesnt really trip my trigger, not sure if its the fabric or what but it doesnt work as well as the vinyl stuff.

Nice work!

Say, can you tell me something? Is there a hole or gap or something forward of the shifter? Somewhere air can get in? I can't quite see in those pics.

I've got an air leak through my centre console and I'm trying to pin down its origin.

Mamoguy, not sure, however there is a box right behind the radio that has clippy things on it, i have yet to investigate it further. My guess is that there would be a tear/hole in your shifter sleeve under the boot.

I have a new steering wheel, just havent gotten that far yet, i put carpet in up to the front footwell area, i still have to remove the old carpet from under the accelerator, glue the rest of the ****e, down swap ebrake handles, dye the old qtr panels cuz the new ones dont fit (They are up for grabs, original black, possibly out of an 87-88?) Finish dying the lower dash area then install f/r headliners, visors and whatever else im forgetting.

Easier said then done right...

I did this a week ago or so, but ive been busy doing some work on my buddys corvette, first and last time with one of those. As soon as i get paid for this job, i can get my dash pad thing, and btw does anyone have any pics of how one of those looks, i was cruising 944online and they have a couple but dont show them on the car. Then perm. put the carpet down and button everything up, i'll space it out over the winter so im never bored.

Now will everything work when i put it back together?

Stupid battery rust, wonder how long thats been going on.

Catch of the day?
