Default Removing the middle light bar.

Ok so I want to remove the stupid light bar that came on my 944.

I was wondering what all is involved. I found some screws behind in the hatch that I think are attaching the light to the car. They have some silicon type sealer so I assume this is what they are.

So what happens with the wiring? I didn't look too hard at it but what do I have to do once the light is removed?

Also, does the license plate holder that goes on the bumper go right back on to the original spot?

TIA

Alex

The screws are on the inside behind the carpet that conceals the spare tire, the lights are typically tapped off of the license plate lights so you just either cut them and cap them or put them back into the holes.

Azn is correct, mine said 944 and was just as he said when he took it off. I had planned on keeping it but it looked so good off. I am planning on using some interior snap-screws to cover the holes after I paint them a color close to my paint color to cover the holes for now.

Anyone have some spare bulb sockets for one of these panels? A couple of mine are completely rusted out (from PO). It's currently disconnected.

Thanks.

I will sell you a complete unit that came off my parts car for cheap. You could use it as is or for parts.

You can leave the plate on the bumper or there are holes behind the light bar to mount the bracket and move it up.

Another lightbar success story in the works! Friends don't let friends drive with lightbars ;-)
