Default 87 944s AC Problems

got a problem with my 87 944s. did a a/c charge last week and let it run for a bit before i took it out on the road. when i say a bit, it idled for 10-15 minutes with the a/c on and blowing cold. not more than 5 minutes on the road i noticed the light go out on the a/c switch. This happened once before, maybe 2 yrs ago when the system was recharged. Both times the gauge would show that i was in a 'safe' zone and i wasn't overcharging the system. Replace the fuse, same thing. the car can idle without blowing the fuse but within minutes of driving, it blows.

any thoughts, suggestions?? i think it's possible that the recharge gauge might not be accurate and too much 134 went in??

thx,

mine does that too... you come to a stop, then after a min or two, the a/c light goes out. Take off and it fires back up.

not for me , the fuse blows. I can replace the fuse, idle in the driveway but when driving, the fuse blows in 5 min or less.
