Default Baltimore area shops?

I just moved to Baltimore from northern VA and am looking for a decent 944 shop up here.

On of my new co-workers suggested K&S associates. On one hand they're more of a general foreign car place then a porsche or 944 specilist. On the other hand, he's got the cleanest 951 I've ever seen and has them do all the work on it.

Any of you have experience with them or have other good shops to recomend?

I'm use to just doing things myself but my lack of free time and, more importantly, lack of a garage up here hampers things a good bit. I use to live 5 miles from IMA and would love to keep going there but they're a bit far from downtown Baltimore.

GT Performance is about 20 minutes north of Baltimore right off of I-95, Exit 77A. Their website is www.gtperformanceince.com No affiiation, just a happy customer. His speciality is Porsche. Owns and races a 997 GT3 Cup. Lots of folks in the Chesapeake Region use him.

I'm curious about the Annapolis shops....I've heard there's a really good one down there, but that's all I know. I'll be overseas for a while (3 - 4 months) and I'm planning/hoping to leave my car with a good mech who can do some or all of the things I won't have time to do since I'll be gone.

Actually......ANY feeback on ANY Porsche mechs in the Annapolis/Columbia/Laurel area would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I bought my first 944 Turbo off a guy in Baltimore who had it serviced at Dean St. Automotive. I called them and had them do a PPI and I recieved a fax with every piece of information I could have imagined on it. I called and talked to the tech who did the inspection and he was very informative and helpful. To make a long story short I bought the car and was not disappointed at all it was just as they had described. Oh yeah the PPI only cost me 100 bucks.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll probably be going to SSI since they're 2-3 miles from where my girlfriend works in Towson, which is really convinient. In reality I need little more then a state inspection done, which could probably be done anywhere.
