944S stock front spring rate
Just curious about spring rates. According to Clarks Garage, the 944S has the stiffest stock front spring rate, at 3535N. Is it really stiffer, or is it just a different way of measuring? Any idea what the rate would be in in/lbs? I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to upgrade my stock 924S springs to 944S.

Clark's is incorrect. Instead of showing the spring rates, Clark's is showing force measurements at a defined compression length (as shown in the Factory Service Manual), used only for tolerance grouping. Its not the spring rate - in order to determine the spring rate, you need to divide the 3535N by the distance of compression in mm, so you end up with N/mm.
944S had the same spring rate as the other 944 variants (non-M030): approx 125 lb/in (21.8 N/mm)

you can always cut a coil or two off your spring
this will increase your spring rate, and lower the car, just make sure to upgrade your dampers (shocks) otherwise this will wear them out quicker.
and dont cut it so much that under fool droop the spring is loose... that may lead to some whacky things
