O2 sensor 4 wires??

O2 sensor 4 wires??
I recently purchased a bosch 15725 from my local autoparts store, when I got home took the sensor out so i could splice it with my wires. I noticed that this plug had 4 wires. Did I get a wrong plug? and would this still work.

I searched and couldnt find enough information so I just went ahead and did it.
Spliced the 2 white and black wire to my origional wires connected the grey wire to the negative post on the battery(easiest spot to ground.) It works fine.
