Default Selling it.. need some advice with price please (Pics)

I'm going to be selling my car soon, and am trying to get an idea of a good price range for my 944S. I'm not a greedy person, and I'm not selling it to buy another car, however I'm not wanting to cheat myself out of what worth it might have. I honestly haven't the slightest clue as to how much I should consider selling it for. A bit of history on the car, though..

I'm the third owner of this 1988 944S, German Specs. The original owner did some body work to the car, doing a 968 rear end swap, as well as as partial nose conversion with the fog lights and turn signals. The mirrors are also those of a 968. It has a strosek hatch as well as headlights. In 1995 it was sold to a man who had purchased it as a valentine's gift for his wife, who absolutely hated the car. Long story short, it sat in her garage until 2006 when I noticed it driving by, and offered to buy it from her. Since then I've not done much other than put some new wheels on the car, after market computer chip, schnell short shift kit, and replaced the speakers and stereo (After the pics were taken). 47,000KM on the car right now, 40k when I bought it, according to maintenance records and odometer. Who knows for sure, though. As it stands right now, there are little to no maintenance flaws. I had the car inspected at the Porsche dealership, mechanically speaking it's clean. The only problem I can really think of, is the clip for the driver side visor is broken, so it doesn't snap into place to secure it. That's about it with the background. Here are the pictures.

Any thoughts on a decent price to sell it for?

Well that clip is the key to the big money and the every other car ha ha. Nice ride and if I were to guess that car should not go for lest the 8K due to the body work and ware on the car. If it is a solid as it list it you should get alot more.

Why are you selling it?

Interesting.
Love the 968 rear. dont mind the hatch replacement but the extra rear spoiler makes it a little messy. The front is an acquired taste but it looks well done.

$8K? More maybe?

It would take a while to sell, you'd want to wait for the "right" buyer, someone who'll appreciate/want the mods.

I sugest join rennlist, get the little red "renlist member" under your name, and put a for sale ad here and in the members only classifieds before this gets locked by a moderator. See the sticky post in this forum. Here is a linky link in case you didnt see it before you posted the thread. https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/343158-forum-guidelines-please-read-before-posting.html

I read through your link there, and do believe that I did not post anything advertising this car for sale, but rather asking for help in appraising its value, as I do plan on selling it. I am in no which way shape or form advertising it here on this forum.. would be kind of silly to do so anyhow, seeing as how I'm in Germany Of course if I were advertising it for sale to members here, I would pay my membership fee and post it up in the classifieds. As for right now, though, I'm simply asking for some honest help in appraising my car. And thank you for the kind replies and thoughts.

Yeah, the 944 over there is like an early 90s Camaro over here.

Definitely looks very cool. Although the only problem with customizations are that they typically aren't always appreciated by everyone. I think the car looks awesome, but if it were mine, I'd probably get rid of the Acura Integra head lights, and the purple trim inside the car. Other than that, the thing is totally bad-*** looking.

Here... that would probably be worth around 5 to 6 thousand (US Dollar). That's my guess.

It could be just me, but I think body customization hurts the resale value, just because there will always be people who don't like it, thereby reducing the size of the market -- in terms of resale I think stock is better than customized. I think it's worth taking that into account.

Just my opinion, of course.
