Default significance of flywheel pin facing down

whats the significance of the flywheel pin facing down? Im only asking cus I think I skipped that process during my clutch install job and already bolted the bellhousing back on. Do I need to go back and turn it facing down?

No, it just makes it easier to install the bell housing.
