Does a 86 944 Turbo steering rack fits a 944S?

Same on all 944's, only difference is the tie rods and tie rod ends (pre/post 86).

 

It should be the same on '86. If you want a cheap set of brand new tie rod ends let me know, I just completed the entire rack job 2 weeks ago and have extra parts. While your in there, check the rack to cooler line, there is usually wear on the hose near the motor mount/knuckle, it bends on an 80 degree angle and takes heat/wear.

Replace the allen head bolts on the knuckle with the rennbay kit, trust me, the allen bolts strip, the rennbay kit converts to 19mm.
