I got it now!! I went on line and was told the combos i wanted were taken. I called up DMV and told the woman I wanted a plate with the word "poor" for my porsche.

She tells me to spell something i would want. I say ok "poorsh". two seconds later she says it was available and she would put a hold on it for me for a few days. the check was in the mail in minutes. It is getting transferred to my red S2 in a few days.

A bunch of us were wondering why nobody beat me to it. one of the guys here said he tried and they told him it was taken. i guess the story is now full circle.

This is my 931 '82. Its a euro model with snailshell gearbox and limited slip differential. I just love it.
