Question Re-packing wheel bearings

Working on 944s2 brakes and thought I'd repack the wheel bearings at the same time. Can anyone provide some guidance on repacking the bearings?

Thanks!

Clean thoroughly with brake cleaner. Clean again. Blow dry with compressed air - but don't spin the bearing dry, that can damage it. Get all that old junk out. Then pack heavily with good new synthetic grease - Mobil 1 is good of course, but I prefer Valvoline synthetic - since it's also good for CV's! Make sure, with the new grease, to repeatedly turn the bearing and distribute the grease, and then jam more in.

Also don't forget to clean the hub and races of all traces of old grease, etc.

What he said or use a little bowl of gasoline to get the old stuff out. Whatever you use make sure all old solvent is dried and gone before packing. Don't let anybody sell you a bearing packer, that's what mechanic's latex gloves are for!
Don't forget new wheel seals!
Cheers

Thanks for the great advice. Should be fun getting my fingers dirty over the weekend!

You'll want to replace the seals also.

No, the rear's are sealed bearings.

I once made a video on doing wheel bearings - search YouTube.
