As I said before.. these are not Iron blocks, but alusil, and if it cannot be done right, rather not do it as it can be a very very expensive mistake...

These engines are actually quite robust.
I rebult a 144k 84 motor in Jan 2003. At the time I just cleaned it, put in new bearings and had the head check out. I even used the same rings. That motor is my current race motor and is going strong after 4+ year of hard racing. I think I have some 50 races on that motor.
