My car also came with NO factory rear sway bar. Can you guys please help me pick out the right sway bar for my current suspension set up?

I currently have on my car 1987 944 Koni Yellow adjustables all four corners, Weltmeister 28 mm torsion bars, Weltmeister 250 lbs front springs, Weltmeister strut tower brace, stock front sway bar.

What size rear sway bar do you guys recommend. I DE and Auto-X my car...plus drive it a few times a week to work.

Thanks for your help
Carolyn

Do you want the car to be stiffer? Or are you suffering from a balance problem?

Hi Joe,

It seems pretty stiff right now. Believe it or not the car turns in really well without the rear sway bar. I was just wondering if I did put a rear sway bar on say the 968 19mm...how would the car handle? Would it have a tendency to push more? Do I have too much going on in the front and not enough in the rear with just the 28mm torsion bars?

Thanks,
Carolyn

If the car is stiff enoough right now and has good balance changing sways won't do anything.

IF you wanted to deal with over or understeer then you would want to swap out sway bars. Right now if you add a rear bar it will generate more oversteer in the chassis. How much depends on how big you go.
