Any one used those generic brand spacers sold on ebay?
Anyone bought and used those generic brand name spacers on ebay? How is the quality? Are they cheap parts Made in China?
H&R Spacers cost twice as much. But since spacers will be holding the wheels, one can't cheap out on these important things.
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks!

There are some good ones made by a guy in Orange County, CA. The other one I've seen is very generic to fit too many cars with at least 15 holes. It leaves too little material and makes the spacer very weak at the spacer to hub area.

This is what I was referring to. From a "Porsche parts" seller.
I emailed them about it. This was their reply: "I do not know where the spacers are made. I never compared the spacers with H&R. It has been my thought that a spacer is a spacer as it consists only of aluminum with steel studs."

try Vertex, they sell them on ebay as well, what size are you looking for? I have recently put spacers on my 84 with a bunch of problems with clearance on the hubs. 944online also has spacers, I'm sure Ian would know where they are from. Post your setup and I may have more detailed opinion.

The seller I emailed was Vertex actually. Im looking at some pre-87 944 n/a. However, I have a set of late offset turbo twist with ET50 front and ET60 rear. So I think I need 1" spacers up front and 1.5" in the rear if I end up with an early offset car. Im pre-planning right now. So if the right car comes by, I'll be ready.

If you track the car you will have the hastle of alway checking all the bolts but its better to be safe than dead.
