Can anyone reply with a time estimate of transaxle removal and install?

Default Can anyone reply with a time estimate of transaxle removal and install?

Just looking to see how many hours are involved. Just the trans in and out, not the torque tube. Thanks.

if your handy with tools and its your first time say about 3 hrs

just make sure you slide the trans coupler BEFORE you unbolt anything on the trans/torque tube. you will go thru hell if you dont

I did it the wrong way and it wouldn't come out until I inserted the bolts. This is super important.

The rest of it is just a matter of being able to lift the car high enough, and having balance as you lower the jack holding the transaxle.

+ 1,000,000,000...


With the right tools, and another set of hands, then 3 or 4 hours. By yourself, significantly more. I started my install sometime in November, finished it up in March/April.
