Plug it in with a rubber plug, remove the cooler, if you are not using the car for track use, it wont make much difference in tranny oil temperature.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....................................will that work on my virtual road course? Not sure about the sealing nature of the rubber plug, rubbers have been known to break from time to time.

You might want to ask, but I have sold several 87 951 trannies without the loop and even a tranny with no loop with a gt torque differential build by guards transmission that was sold to Joe Browne he has driven his ls1 v8 944 conversion in the one lap of america competition without reported problems, but what do I know as the other guys the gurus.

The cooling loop can't do much...but leak. I would go one of two ways...plug it, or upgrade it. If you decide to plug it, you'll need to crack the case open & remove the 'pump', or your plug will just get pushed out. The 'pump' is just a gear mounted to the axle which feeds the cooler with oil.
To upgrade I would replace it with a standard aftermarket tranny cooler. Will do much better cooling, and shouldn't be too hard to mount up.
