driver side of the radiator.. pull the wires off, unscrew it.. put new one in. you dont even have to drain the coolant, just switch them quick and you won't lose much.

Makes it easier if you remove the fans, but you shouldnt have to.

Only thing to add is that don't be put off if you don't have a socket big and deep enough. A pair of channel locks should do the job, the switch shouldn't be all that tight.

Under. The space is tight, but you can do it keeping the fans in.

Yes, it should be bled after.

Whatever coolant is in there is what should be added. What color is it?

Idealy, you should have phosphate free stuff in there.. (some dexcools are phosphate free and say it on the bottle.)

If you have a 30mm deep socket, you can take it off with only the airbox removed.

If you want to be safe, just drain it and get a gallon of distilled water along wtih a gallon of whatever coolant you feel comfortable with. I woudl suggest draiining it from the lower rad hose rather then the drain plug though, unless you have a spare.

i'd like to watch you or anybody remove the swich with channel locks without removing the fans/shroud.

i did it with a combination wrench, (only thing i had big enough) but i had to have the fans out for sure, as cramped as it is right there, i would want the fans out regardless, its only 6 bolts
