Default Double DIN head units

Saw an add on ebay this am for a (real nice) S2 Cab...and in looking, I realized it's got a double-DIN radio. This never occured to me before and I was wondering if anyone else has done this?

Opens up some interesting navigation options.....

I *barely* fit my 7'in flip out Pioneer Single DIN in.. but anything is possible but you'd just have to find a double din that is not so deep that it hits the trans tunnel. the lower din socket is not very deep.

PorscheDoc (Karl) on here has a Pioneer Navi installed in his Turbo I believe. I'm going with a Pioneer AVH-6800dvd here in the next month or so. The Navi serves me no real purpose, and I don't feel like spending the extra bucks for it. The Pioneers have a slick setup that is a vehicle diagnostics readout. It plugs in to most of their dvd head units, and tells HP/ TQ, G force, speed, revs...stuff like that. A quick search around Pioneer would lead you to it more then likely.

I'm actually buying two AVH-6800dvds; one or my 944 and one for my truck.

P.S...what number made is your '91 S2? Mines 336!
