Default Throttle cable problem

I'm having a hard time finding the right throttle cable for my car. It's an 85.5 na. I've been dealing with Jason from paragon and he's been very helpful, but we're just about stuck. This is the cable I am trying to get:

it is identical to what I've pulled off my car, and the part number matches up to what PET says. However, it seems that every supplier only stocks this cable:

which is for the turbo. The main difference is the threaded part that connects the cable to the throttle body. On the na there is simply a lock ring that secures the cable, the turbo has two nuts and the threads. It is impossible to mount the turbo cable on an na throttle body.

It looks, like I may need to order the throttle cable from an early car, which has the desired connections, however, I am not sure if it is the correct length and such. I am sure someone here has ordered a throttle cable from somewhere for a late na. Just hoping to get some help here.

Why are you replacing yours? I know someone with an 85.5 NA parts car....

I'm replacing mine because I just finished a complete engine overhaul and want to be sure I don't suffer a silly failure like a throttle cable fraying on my way to and from the track. Perhaps if I can get the used cable cheap I will carry it around as a spare just in case. Can you get a price from your friend?

I looked at the PET for the early and late 944 NA and it would appear they are different. The early car lists 944.423.023.02 while the later car has 3 listings (?), 944.423.023.07, 944.423.023-10 and 944.423.023.03 Clear as mud.
