Default i need a +12 lead that turns on with the ignition.. anyone?

So i was putting in a stereo today (finally found one in my mess of a garage) and realized that I didn't have all of the wires I wanted. Got all of the speakers hooked up and the -12 ground wire, but when I went to find the +12v, and IGN leads they were nowhere to be found. Anyone have any ideas as to what else I could tap into that is +12v and has enough amperage to run the radio? I pulled out my multimeter and found a couple good places but it turns out they were attached to relays and such and didn't carry enough amperage so not wanting to short out anything I neglected to connect the radio to any of them. I also looked at the circuits in the Haynes manual but they did nothing for me.

Other than this, my only other option would be to run a fused wire through the firewall and straight to the battery (to bypass the fun of the 83' fusebox), then tap into the +12v lead for the power windows for IGN.

If I am not mistaken, the factory radio harness will have a switched 12V source. Afterall, the factory radio only works when the car is one, right?

I don't remember the color of the wire, but I just hooked my boost gauge up using this power source last week.

There is no constant (memory) power source to the factory tape deck. The clock may be an option for constant power.

Lol, I just realized that i connected the radio's ground lead to the ground that was meant for the optional equalizer/amplifier which basically has a lead for ground, +12v switched, and +12v something or other but it doesn't seem to do anything. The radio's wiring harness is nowhere to be found. Also, the P.O. im guessing had an aftermarket radio in the car before it was taken out as all of the factory connectors were cut. The wires for the Left Speakers, +12v Switched power, and Ground were the only ones i could find, but everything else is just a mess of wires.

Oh, and my clock doesn't work btw.. When i checked the leads going to it my multimeter showed something like 4-9volts at <1amp
