Thats crazy you actually went to his house! What kind of man was he? What did he look like? Nice house?
Honesty the only timed I called him was to settle it like adults but all he wanted to do was cuss me out on the phone. At that point it was humerous.

I'm in for the other 1/3 thanks for helping me out!

Well so far but still waiting on RL info. Gunn. E Slinger is checking to see if his PayPal is current so I can just transfer the membership fee to his account. If not I have an email into Jenn about how to comp it from my PP account. Either way it might take a day or so. That gives me a good headstart to leave the country with you guys $12 and start a new life.

You Guys are too much!!,
I was checking before I left and was going to just start another paypall account tonight, Thanks again, I REALLY appreciate it.
Insurance wars continue, my agent sent me to one of their approved shops, looks like a specialist is going to have to look at the car, He is saying that the quarter panel buckling is not consistent with a rear hit, although he can understand how it COULD have happened, so, we will see, I told them I was well prepared to get Very nasty about getting my car fixed if need be.
I'll get that poster out Saturday, Taking this weekend off before I keel over.
Since the old girl is all cleaned up for her trip to the estimater, I may have to make it out to the Social tonight.......Ahhh, San diego in the spring!!

I was rearended in a 944 Turbo S and it buckled just in front of the rear wheelwell IIRC. Bent unibody, totaled car. I took pics at the scene. This is a common thing with 944's to bend this way when hit hard in the rear. The energy has to go somewhere.

If it'll help I can (probably) dig up the pics and send them to you.

My buckle is about two inches behind the Door handle on the quarter, with some rippling in the wheel well lip, Im sure they will try to total it, First shop quoted $3600.00, with new parts, second quoted $3800. I can get the parts used for $120.00

That sounds typical. I think my pics are on my work PC but that sounds like the usual buckle to me.

Yep, just went to the local get together here and Tim Comeau said that that is exactly how they buckle in a rear end collision, so, guess I know how this is gonna turn out.

Hey Randy, My Name's Dave, I think I saw you on Lucadia ave a few weeks back,
That's where the car got wacked, southbound on ramp,Wen't to the PCCA get together last night, had a few guys look at it, Consensus is that it isn't to bad, But, that they will most likley total it. So, I may do a buy back if thats the case, already been talking to the frame guy, see if I can get it straight, then Autocross that Bad Boy!!, or maybe I should just sue everyone in sight and buy a shark??!!....Heh. By the way guys, Check that throttle cable tension!!, Just ask Randy, Mucho Better.

Hey Dave, one other thing you might look at is the sheet metal behind the rear corners of the sunroof. If you see a small depression (you'll have to look at it at the right angle to see it, you basically need to get some glare from light or sun to reflect off it, hard to explain but easy to see when you are looking at it right) in the sheet metal, then you have more damage than you might think. If the rear quarter buckles like you have described, a lot of time you will receive secondary damage in the roof line, and a lot of folks (body shops and claims adjusters included) don't know to look there. If you have that damage, the repair involves putting the car on a frame jig and giving it a tug, its pretty minor but if you don't do it, you will never get the rear of the car aligned properly again. Ping me if you need a better description.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, and great job helping with the poster!

Regards,
