Default 968 Battery Replacement...?

I've just removed and re-charged my battery, as i'd been stupid enough to leave my 968 lying unused for FAR too long...

Do i have to follow any special procedure when hooking it back up, or is it just a case of bolt it in, connect it up, and fire-her-up...????

It might sound like a daft question, but with so many electonic systems in the car, i just want to be sure that i dont cause any accidental damage to anything...

The correct procedure for hooking up your battery after shamelessly letting your car sit for too long is this.

1. Purchase new battery
2. Place battery on battery tray, and tie it down
3. Rent shipping container
4. Push 968 into shipping container, with a signed transfer of ownership
5. Pay to ship such container to Toronto, ON.
6. Allow me to connect the battery and start the 968 cab, driving it blissfully into the sunset

Make sure the key is OFF!, charge teh batt and then hook it up and you should be fine. I know alot of folks have the airbag light come on when messing with the batt (need a hammer to turn it off) but I've removed mine several times with out problem as long as the key is off.

Sometimes the alarm will sound when you reconnect the battery. Be ready to unlock the door to disarm it.

Keep the ignition off.
