Glove box door fix
How many of you guys have broken glove box door supports ?
I know I've seen a replacement part somewhere online, don't remember where or how much. Just thought I'd share the fix I did this afternoon.
I used hobby chain, also known as beaded chain, or bath tub stopper chain.
It takes about 6" per side, 4 eyelets that attach to the chain, and four small screws. Drilled some small pilot holes, two on the insides near the top of the cubby and two on the inside of the door at the top ( be careful not to go to deep or use too long screws on the door part ) I was going to use the existing screws to mount the eyelets, but when I closed the door the chain got jammed up on the edges of the door, or stuck out the cracks between the door and the dash, so I moved the mounts inward a bit.
